"Movie and Book Comparison"

The movie is very simular to the book the main difference is that with the book you have to try to visualize whats going on, and with the moive you can see the drama and what's happening. Some of the other small differences are that the players numbers in the book are different from the players numbers in movie, and in the movie Boobie miles got injured in a preseason game, and not a scrimmage like in the book. I think that the movie is better, because it has more action and suspense; over sitting down and reading the the book. The Book still is good, but the movie is way better.

Summary of Chapters 1-2

The begining of the first two chapters talked about how Boobie was injuried. Awhile after the game George Bush had came to the Midland-Odessa are for a campaign apperance for the Republican presidential candidate campaign. Boobie had returned from his injury, but people didn't care because he had been gone for awhile and wasn't as good anymore. Plus another guy had taken his place and was better than him. Midland and Odessa were two different towns. One was full of rich and fancy, and the other was poor and crappy.

Summary of Chapters 12-16

The team from Odessa was still stuggling in the games without Boobie Miles. They lost the game that would have made them go to the playoffs for sure. Since they lost it was a three way tie with Odessa and two other schools. So to decide what two teams got to go to play off they flipped a coin, and Odessa won. They made it to the state championship but ended up losing by just a little bit in the final minutes.
